It has always been a pleasure to work side-by-side with my brother on his many diverse building projects throughout the years. This was a great collaboration. Eidolon was handed responsibility for the design and fabrication of the kitchen, butler’s pantry and four interior passage doors.
The kitchen and butler’s pantry are select Cherry solid hardwoods and veneers, as well as the steel island structure.
The interior passage doors are Heart Pine solids combined with Curley Pine solids (in the upper panel of each door); the Curley Pine is a species new to us at Eidolon, and we found it expressed a subtle and beautiful grain variation with the Heart Pine.
After fabrication and finish, the work was transported from Raleigh, NC to Jacksonville Beach, Fl, and expertly installed by our go-to installation company, KP Cabinetry of Slier City, NC.
Photography is by Stone Photography, Keystone Heights, FL. As requested, photographs include the beautiful coffered ceiling and columns designed and installed by my brother, Steve Cowperthwaite.
